Pressotherapy for Lymphatic Drainage
24th August 2023At Unique Day Spa in Dublin we’re lucky enough to receive guests from all sorts of backgrounds.
Locals, tourists, business visitors and more will all come through our doors for different reasons. Some want to indulge and relax. Others will come for wellness, health and recovery reasons.
Whatever your reason for joining us at our day spa, a visit to the Infrashape Bike room should become part of the experience.
What is an Infrashape Bike?
The Infrashape Bike is a state-of-the-art stationary exercise bike that incorporates both infrared technology and traditional cycling mechanics. It’s the biking cardio exercise you know, with a luxury modern twist.
Unlike conventional stationary bikes, the Infrashape Bike uses infrared heat to create a warm and stimulating environment whilst you’re using it. This combination of exercise and infrared heat encourages rejuvenation, detoxification and fat loss.
How does the Infrashape Bike work?
The Infrashape Bike might look slightly unusual, but essentially you’re looking at an enhanced biking experience. Users will lay down and begin to cycle in a horizontal fashion, much like you would expect.
The Infrashape Horizontal also features adjustable levels, vacuum compression and infrared technology to help activate the body in a far greater fashion than traditional cycling. The heat waves, generated via infrared, penetrate the body in a much deeper way, at a cellular level, and help in a number of ways including easing muscle tension, increasing blood flow and general relaxation.
We also touched on the power of infrared heat here, as we launched our Infrared Sauna in Dublin.
Also, it might be obvious…but any form of cycling will also aid overall mobility and cardio-health!
The Benefits of Using an Infrashape Bike:
We’ve touched on what it is, and generally how it works, but there are clear benefits when using an Infrashape Bike including:
- Enhanced Weight Loss: The infrared heat generated by the Infrashape Bike helps increase core body temperature, leading to a higher metabolic rate. This boost in metabolism allows users to burn more calories during their workouts, making weight loss and fat reduction more achievable over time.
- Detoxification: Infrared heat is known for its detoxifying properties, as it promotes increased circulation and encourages sweating. Through perspiration, the body can eliminate toxins and impurities, leading to improved skin health and a rejuvenated feeling after each session.
- Improved Cardiovascular Health: As we’ve noted, cycling is a fantastic cardio-exercise by itself, but when combined with infrared heat, it becomes even more beneficial. The increased blood flow and heart rate during workouts contribute to better cardiovascular health and endurance.
- Enhanced Muscle Recovery: The infrared heat aids in relaxing muscles and reducing muscle stiffness, making it an excellent tool for post-workout recovery. Athletes, local, professional and semi-pro, can experience reduced muscle soreness and faster recovery times with regular use.
- Stress Reduction and Relaxation: Infrared therapy has been linked to reduced stress and improved relaxation. Combining the calming effects of infrared heat with the endorphin release from exercise, the Infrashape Bike provides a unique stress-relief experience.
- Versatility and Convenience: With the Infrashape Bike, users can enjoy the benefits of both infrared therapy and cycling without the need to switch between different equipment or locations. This convenience makes it a time-efficient solution for those with busy schedules.
We hope this helps shed a little more light on what the Infrashape Bike is, and how it can help you in your journey towards relaxation, recovery or whatever combination of health and wellness that suits you best!
This is a classic example of the old world meeting the new, so book in and experience it for yourself.
